Public Works

Victor-Brandon Corp has the bonding, experience, and reliability to ensure public works projects are completed on time with the highest quality and lowest possible cost. We use all our own materials from our local plant, which operates year-round. It's located at New South Road, off Milestone Road on Nantucket Airport property. Here are some of the projects we have worked on:

• Roadways for the Massachusetts Highway Department, Town of Nantucket, Nantucket D.P.W., and the U.S. Coast Guard.
• Roundabouts for the Town of Nantucket. We constructed the Sparks Avenue Rotary to replace a traffic-congested intersection—the project was completed 6 months ahead of schedule.
• Runways for the Nantucket Memorial Aiport and Federal Aviation Association
• Parking lots for the Nantucket Public Schools
• Cobblestone work for the Town of Nantucket (feaured in this article from Nantucket Magazine)
• Bicyclce Paths, tennis courts, and basketball courts for Nantucket Park and Recreation Commission
• Granite Curbing for the Town of Nantucket

We also do expert work in scarifying, cold planing, resurfacing, and chip seal surfacing.

When we undertake any new project, we are very efficient about the construction process, so that we do not disrupt the traffic flow for any longer than absolutely necessary.
